The first safety can opener I bought some 10 years ago, if I remember correctly. It lasted me until 2013. Not because the opener malfunctioned, but because my ex kept it after our seperation.
Last week I was lucky to see it again on a local year market. And now there also was this palm version, which suits me perfectly. I have Parkinson's, and even though the "old" version would be easy to use for hopefully decades, I bought this one, because it was so much easier to use. I therefore gladly recommend it to anyone with even advanced tremor.
Furthermore, since it doesn't really cut the lid off, but separates the lid completely without any need even to cut it, it's also safer in this aspect, because there are literally no sharp edges anywhere.
