The "Porsche911", born in 1963, was originally designated as the "Porsche 901". As Peugeot protested on the grounds that in France it had exclusive rights to car names formed by three numbers with a zero in the middle, Porsche changed the name to 911. The styling of this luxurious car was collaboration between Erwin Komenda, the leader of the Porsche car body construction department, and Ferdinand "Butzi" Porsche, the brand owner's grandson. For more than fifty years, the timeless line of this luxurious "coupé" is still present and makes it a myth forever alive.
